Best Buddies 'Human Rights' Contest

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. "

December 10th, 2008 marks the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration Human Rights. Without necessarily realizing it, all of our Best Buddies volunteers contribute to this movement everyday day through the friendships they develop with their buddies and the message they send to those around them.

To acknowledge our volunteer's contributions, Best Buddies is putting together a Special Edition Monday Memo that will be distributed on the 8th of December.

Best Buddies has organized a contest through which matches can express how human rights have affected them or how they feel their friendship has affected human rights.

Best Buddies participants are invited to submit an essay of maximum 150 words under the broad topic of human rights.

A selected essay will win a special prize and will be included in the Special Edition Monday Memo.

We look forward to reading the effect equality, respect and trust has had on you.

Please submit your entry by December 1st, 2008.

For more details and to submit your essay contact your Program Manager/ Coordinator.
